In-Year Admissions

In-Year Applications

If you have recently moved and need a secondary school place for your daughter you will need to contact the Kingston Admissions Team in order to apply for an in-year school place.

If your daughter is already in school and you’re considering transferring her to another school, in the first instance you should:

  • discuss it with the Headteacher of your daughter’s current school

  • complete the application form through Kingston Admissions

  • ask the Headteacher to complete his or her part of the council application form

Your daughter’s education usually benefits most when she has continuity of teaching and learning in the same school.

If you would like to apply for a place in Years 7 – 11 and would like your application to be considered under one of the faith criteria, please download and complete the In-Year Supplementary Information Form. If the year group is full, parents/carers may ask for their daughter to be placed on the waiting list.

Application forms should be either posted to the school (to the main school address) or hand-delivered to the school reception during school office hours (8.00am to 4.00pm). If you would like confirmation of receipt, please include a stamped self-addressed envelope with your application.

Once you have applied through the Kingston Admissions Team  you will be able to contact the school to find out where your daughter is on the waiting list.

Waiting List

Please note placing your daughter’s name on the waiting list does not guarantee that a place will become available. Your daughter’s position may move up or down as applicants provide additional information to support their application, or join or leave the waiting list.

Important note: Waiting lists for the current academic year 2024/25  will be disbanded by Kingston Council at the end of the summer term in 2025.  You must make an in-year transfer application via Kingston Council Admissions no sooner than June 2025 for your child’s name to be added to the waiting lists for the academic year 2025/26.

Admission enquiries should be made to the Admissions Manager:
