Parents & Friends Association (PFA)
Welcome to the Holy Cross Parents & Friends Association (PFA). We’re a friendly community of parents and carers who meet approximately once every half term on a weekday evening at 7.30pm (currently via Zoom). Whether you’re a new or existing parent, the PFA is the perfect way to connect, support, and make a difference at The Holy Cross School.
Why Join the PFA?
As a parent or carer, you’re automatically a member of the PFA. Transitioning from primary to secondary school can feel isolating without the daily interaction at the school gates, but the PFA bridges that gap. It’s your chance to:
-
Meet other parents and build friendships.
-
Get involved in school life.
-
Contribute to fundraising efforts that directly benefit the students and school community.
What We Do
Our primary goal is to raise essential funds for projects that enhance the school environment and support our students. Here are just some of the ways we’ve made a difference:
-
Built the Rose Hub catering facility.
-
Refurbished the Sixth Form common room and technology room.
-
Purchased 3D printers for Design & Technology students.
-
Funded the introduction of the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme.
-
Funded a self-defence class for Sixth Form students.
-
Purchased new furniture for the Art department.
Past Fundraising activities have included Year 7 & 8 Discos, Christmas Fairs, Carol Service Refreshments, Rock & Pop Evenings, and Second-Hand Uniform Sales (donations always welcome!)

Let’s build a stronger community together. Get in touch today!
Our PFA plays a vital role in supporting the school community, organising fantastic events throughout the year to bring families together and raise valuable funds. Their dedication and hard work make a real difference to our students' experiences. Thanks to the incredible efforts of our PFA and the generosity of our school community, last year’s Christmas Fair raised an amazing £5,000!
